School projects
I can offer workshops in
- paper making
- felting a picture
- mask making
- ancient textile techniques (making a drop spindle and learning to spin)
- ancient textile techniques (making a table loom and weaving a small piece)
- rag rug making using local techniques such as proggy and hooky)
Aims of the course are:
To learn some historical facts about the subject
To explore ways of recycling old materials
To develop a design with kid
To discover the process of paper making, mat making or any other technique

Who can take part
The workshops serve as an introduction to any of the techniques and children and teacher with an interest in textiles as well as recycling and alternative ways of living can take part. I am available for workshops at schools, either during school time or as a summer school project.
Having worked as a teacher myself I come with the advantageous knowledge of lesson planning.
